Moments, August 1979

Please grasp this moment,

This brief perdition,

For what it means on grander scales.

Please grant it notice,

Some short attention;

The kindest truth of saddened tales.

Observe my World,

This microcosm:

Suspended in Eternal Space.

The World around me,

Is the World within me;

There is reality in either place

Believe this Instant in Overcosm;

In Quanta in transition states,

In Chronons added,

Or thus subtracted,

And moments left for such debates.

Perceive this Moment

Re: Carpe Diem.

A thousand years of deja vu.

Where new dawn shows,

A Lake that flows,

Its direction leads to all things new.

Perceive this Moment,

Sed Tempis fugit

This wavelet in the surf of time.

Then try to capture within these pages

Its half-tamed words

And fractured rhyme.

Observe my World,

This Macrocosm,

Suspended in Eternal Space.

The World around me,

Is the World within me;

There is reality in either place.

For just this Moment,

Please Pay Attention;

This life goes by but once in Haste.

Less than this Instant,

With no Retention,

Let not One Moment go to waste.
